Mali

The Republic of Mali is a landlocked country in West Africa. Under French rule during the first half of the 20th century, Mali gained full independence from France in 1960. It then seceded from the African financial community in 1962, but rejoined in 1984. Currently, Mali uses the common banknotes issued by the West African States monetary union.
