French Banknotes

The banknotes printed by Banque de France are likely the most beautiful notes printed in the 20th century. Not only were these notes printed for use in France, but they were also printed for the French Colonies and other countries as well. Beautiful artwork, striking colors, and a wonderful quality of engraved and lithographed printing make them immediately recognizable.

I have posted my collection of France proper, virtually all of which were produced by Banque de France.

I have also posted my collection of French-printed banknotes used outside France. In addition to BdF, several other French printing firms produced these notes.
